The last stage before arriving at the station, the bus journey is often tinged with impatience. Here are all the tips you need to make the 2 or 3-hour journey go like clockwork.

The most cultured

Reading the book of the year
For months, all colleagues talk about this bestseller and you can't participate in the conversation in front of the coffee machine. And for good reason: this 523-page book just took dust off your bedside table. Now that you have three good hours ahead of you, why not take the opportunity to finally get started. Double bonus: on your return, in addition to your stay at the ski to tell, you too can have completed this pavement.

The most high-tech

The tablet
What are we complaining about? 10 years ago, the only film we were given to see during the trip was the VHS cassette of the Bronzés skiing, the image faded as it had already been rewinded. Thanks to the digital age, it's too easy to keep busy with a good movie on the tablet, computer or portable DVD player. Be careful not to forget the headphones or headphones so as not to get strangled (rightly) by your passenger neighbors.

The most "old school"

The special children's games trip
License plate game (although become difficult with the new regulations), riddles, Chinese portrait, neither yes nor no, words to be found ending with the same syllable or even the game stone-paper-scissors ... Yes, it's a bit regressive but if it kept you busy on the road to the holidays at 6, why wouldn't it work yet?

The most organized

The shopping list
Instead of spending 3h30 hours arriving on the supermarket shelves to find out how to fill the fridge, you might as well use that free time to think about your menu list for the whole week and thus draw up your precise shopping list. Fastidious, perhaps, but a not inconsiderable time saving once you get there. Precisely, this hobby is not only reserved for these ladies!

The most touristy

The "ascent" to the resort
The journey from the Moûtiers train station to the Val Thorens resort may only be 40 km... but it takes almost 1h15 by bus. And if you can't go any faster on this route than on the Paris ring road, it's for a good reason. Instead of being disgusted by the incessant twists and turns imposed by the terrain, prostrate in your seat at the back of the bus, take a seat at the front to experience this climb in a different way. This way, you'll be less affected by the numerous bends (there's no reason why you can't count them), punctuated by the passing of villages and hamlets that are well worth a look. It's also a way of understanding the effort and pain of the Tour de France cyclists you watch on TV every summer.

The most inflated

Writing the traditional holiday card before you even arrive
Yes, it's not very honest but you'll be sure, at least, not to forget to send the card to Grandma Gabi. Just don't go into too much detail, tell him that the snow is good and that you enjoy the scenery and the good air of the mountain. And it's over. In detail that you have to have the cards planned before departure.

The most family-friendly

Pocket games
Naval battle, Who is it, Uno or even the inevitable Game of Little Horses... Today most games are available in a pocket version. They don't cost much, they don't take up space in suitcases. And are ideal for getting distracted on the bus.

The most Zen

What if you took a little time to get on the bus. Dozens of apps offer courses in sophrology or guided meditation. There's nothing like it to attack a mentally fit holiday. Our favourite: The Petit Bambou app
